the only bad thing is that the balancing of the weight is very poor. it looks like this is a common design for all of the logitech speakers.

This speaker set may seem like a good bargain for the money, but the sound quality is very poor and I was very dissapointed. Next time, I'll spend a little more and get a Klipsch THX system or a more expensive Logitech.

these speakers didn't do it. they distorted easily, they sounded flat and tinny... was not impressed.

the subwoofer is extremely underpowered, and the bass/matrix adjustments are useless.

However, as a music entertainment system attached to your computer, it will prove somewhat disappointing with it's low end limitations

These speakers are decent for music, and basic day to day computer audio, but if you want something for gaming that will give you a rich sound and make you feel part of the game, these aren't for you.

Though the x-540 system has sufficient sound for a small room environment, it lacks strength in the low end ranges. In spite of the sub-woofer and graphic equalizer enhancement controls, you will not be able achieve sharp booming bass from this system. The low end has tendency to be a little muddy.

The wires could be longer (they won't make it across a standard dorm-sized room) but if you're just looking for cheap sound, buy these.

overall they are worth the 50 bucks i got them for, but if you really are looking for something that is a good quality and has the overall movie experience, i would look at getting the 5300 or if you want top of line 5500 from logitech (they are thx certified and the subwoofer is over 200 and 500 watts respectively vs.
