This product has a built in mike, and capable of taking still shots and motion video. The images are grainy. Otherwise, good for the novice.

I never use the "Windows Live Call Button" on the top of the device, because it's just as easy to use the video chat buttons on the chat client, and quicker. After installing the software, I could plug the webcam into any USB port, and the computer would recognize and configure it within seconds.

The resolution could be better, but for the 20 bucks I spent on it, I won't complain.
