At this point, I called Amazon, and was told that they would refund my money and would also pay the cost of return shipping. The most amazing part of the whole experience was that when I called Samsung back and told them I was going to return the TV and would never buy another Samsung product, the customer rep with whom I spoke displayed no apparent concern and made no effort to change my mind. The same was true of the person who called later that day to ask how my repair went (presumably based on the erroneously closed ticket) and if I was satisfied.

(She also told me if the second repair did not fix my set, I would get a new one; but I never got as far as testing that.) The following Monday -- the first day I could get on the repair schedule -- I was told that the part not only had not been received, but had not been SHIPPED by Samsung. When I called Samsung, I was told that my repair ticket had been CLOSED.

Samsung has a NO REPLACEMENT policy -- they will only repair the set, even if that means replacing most or all of the electronic parts. That would have been OK, if I could have gotten the TV fixed easily, but it was not to be. On the first service visit, the technician replaced the main board and power supply, but that did not fix the problem.

I have tried making sound adjustments but have had no luck. I did discover that the noise starts on my TV when it been warmed up after running for about an hour. I just signed on the Amazon site to figure out how to contact customer service to return it when I saw the post about the noise (I ordered my TV on January 6).

Great TV, but after about an hour started making a high pitched noise,even on mute (it isnt the speakers). The noise would fluctuate depending on the brightness of the screen. I am returning it.

I had to return the Samsung to Amazon because of the QAM tuner problem. I did call Samsung customer service but they were unable to provide any software patch to fix the problem.

The customer rep opened a new one, but then told me that I would need to call back, as the service dept was too busy to talk with me immediately to figure out what had happened to the previous order. When I asked to talk with a manager, I was told I would have to hold for 10-15 minutes. When I asked to have a manger call ME, I was told that was just not possible.

After five calls we were told that the piece that needs to be repaired was on back order by Samsung. After calling Samsung customer service 3 times and being put on hold for more than 20 minutes or so each time, I have requested a replacement TV. I am being told that a (Saw?) form must be completed by the parts department and once that is done we will be called about getting a new TV.

I returned one and got a replacement because I like the TV so much, but that also has the sound issue so I'm giving up and returning it.

Well but for the loud hissing sound, I would have given the TV a 5-star review too based on the picture quality and features. Since this technical issue is not happening on every TV all I can say is if you buy it, cross your fingers and hope you are one of the lucky ones--for two months I thought I was. I hope Samsung can fix my TV and doesn't make me ultimately regret not purchasing the Panasonic TV I was looking at that also received rave reviews.

Later on the audio and video when in HD kept on freezing. We are getting a new one but I am not sure that this is going towork. Amazon told us that we would get our money back if this new one does not work.

However, I did have to return the 1st set I purchased. After having it for only 5 days, it developed a line down the screen. Samsung customer service was very helpful, but I ended up taking it back to the store and exchanging it for another one.

Others have had the same problem with audio according to the Amazon Blog. Now I must begin the process with Amazon to return it rather than "give a more detailed description of the problem" after contacting Samsung Customer Service. Think twice about buying this 32" model HDTV until Samsung gets their act together.

We immediately called the Samsung support line. We were referred to a local TV repair shop. They were not able to come to his house for two weeks to pick it up.

We shopped the local stores likes Circuit City and Best Buy; however, we found the "best buy" on Amazon and their "white glove delivery service" was all they said it would be. We actually had to return the first TV that was delivered, as there was a high pitched sound coming from the TV that was always in the background when the TV was on. I called Amazon and advised them of the problem and the customer service rep didn't hesitate.

After waiting 2 weeks and making numerous phonecalls to the service center Samsung referred me to, the guy came out and swapped out the main board and the problem still persists. I called them today and they are ordering a new Balis and power supply and hopefully one of those two items will fix the problem. I love the TV otherwise but I just can't stand the loud whistling noise.

for delivery, they called on that Friday and delivered the next Monday. The guy came when expected, plugged it in, all looked good, and I spent the next few hours going through the remote and fine tuning things. i had bought an RCA OTA antenna ($49) for local HD free channels, but it only picked up one channel, so I returned it and bought a Phillips antenna at Walmart for $24, and it picks up all locals!

The technician told me I had to call Samsung. Samsung told me only the technician could place and expedite the order. Finally, after asking to speak with a manager, the Samsung customer rep called the technician's company directly, and then assured me (on Monday) that the part had been ordered and expedited, and that it would arrive with the technician no later than Friday morning.

After trying two new power supplies, my lnt3253h still chirps like a cricket on the 480i channels. Not on the 720i or 1080i channels. On a 480i channel, you mute the sound and can hear it clearly.

I guess the new lot of these TV's are not as good as one made earlier. One more thing guys, stay away from these Eagle shipper. Here in NJ area, they say 'White glove' but all they do is, drop the TV on your doorstop and they refused to open or take away the empty box.

I trade stocks for a living and this is the absolute best combination of equipment I've been able to come up with. The LNT3253H and LNT3242H both have picture-in-picture, so I can watch realtime streaming quotes from Scottrade on the lower left part of the screen (max 20 stocks to a board, no limit on boards), realtime chart on the upper part of the screen and also watch and listen to the talking heads on CNBC on the lower right corner of the screen. This has to be the ultimate set-up for stock traders.

Regular DVD's are very pleasing to view using this combination. However, the upscaling is very good even when playing just plain analog signals. I am especially pleased with the 8000:1 dynamic contrast which results in nice blacks for an LCD tv.

I recently had friends over for a Christmas Party and they were amazed at how detailed the picture looked. I set my contrast to Hundred, Picture Brightness to 55, and Sharpness to 75 and the result is HD heaven. Samsung, in my opinion puts out a fantastic product at a reasonable price.

Overall, if you're considering an LCD TV with 720p/1080i definition (I see no need to go with 1080p on this screen size, Also-- NO ONE is broadcasting in 1080p and you couldn't tell the difference anyway at this screen size), this is the one to buy. For less than $800, it's a great deal.

I did some research and picked this over a similar Sharp TV because of people's quality concerns with the Sharp. I picked the Samsung of the Sony Brevia because I liked the styling of the Samsung better. Picture quality is excellent, as is the styling.

The best thing about this HDTV is the PQ. It is excellent from all input sources, even SD satellite signals via the RF connection.

Our Samsung HDTV arrived on time and was unpacked in our living room by the deliverer in very good condition. It has all the connections needed for the satellite receiver, our separate DVD and VCR as well as connectors to use it as a computer monitor or monitor for those small portable HDs with pictures.

I saw this 720p TV right next to a Sharp 1080i and the Samsung was a much better picture. I highly recommend the TV and Amazon.
