They wanted me to have samsung comeout and fixed it, I told them NO wasted 1.5 hour on samsung tech support and will not do it again. I told amazon either full refund or a new replacment.

It has taken Samsung another month and half during three repair attempts to try (unsuccessfully) to fix this unit. No that they have proclaimed it unfixable, I have to wait ANOTHER 2-3 WEEKs to get a new TV. Shockingly rude customer service representatives as well.

However, it looks terrible at an angle and does have some issues with glare. I would try to wait to watch that blockbuster movie until later in the day or night when it's darker.

The Samsung 52" LNT5265F from Amazon was the same price as the 46" same model at the "Big Box". I know this because I bought one at the "Big Box" brought it home and it was defective. The "Big Box" hasseled me over the return (they eventually caved in, but lost a customer) and that's when I started shopping Amazon and found this great deal.

They helped opening the box and setting up the TV, etc. The only problem I have is that my old DVD does not work with this TV. It does not generate sound somehow.

They did not have the right paperwork to do so. Then, they missed the next appointment to pick it up the next day. They worked with me to send someone over later that day provided that I be there to help because it was again going to be only 1 guy.

With some adjusting you can make it look fair to poor over satellite (I really didn't no how poor the signal was from my satellite until I hooked up this tv). The good: This tv looks good with a 480p DVD player, looks very good with an up-converting dvd player, and looks exceptional with HD DVD (you do need to make adjustments to get the most out of tv, see: "avs forum" for help as it has a strong following there).

The only issue was that only 1 guy showed up with the TV. He said that the dispatcher told him that I would help unload the TV. Of course I was not asked if I could help when I spoke with the dispatcher.

Unfortunately I have to deduct 4 stars for each of the other inputs that came DOA. All HDMI, Component, S-Video, and Composite imputs on the back and on the side show "Weak or no signal" when valid sources are plugged in.

I don't have a problem, but I could see where it could be an issue. My recommendation is to tilt the television forward to reduce "head-on" glare; most standard-def programming through 480i inputs (S-video or composite) looks bad; sometimes I notice "smearing" during fast moving content, but I'm thinking it may be the broadcaster as I only see it on certain channels. I can't verify this without something to compare against.

- no option for closed captioning, to add it or remove it. All my previous TV's had that .. why the menu would not have it ??

The large 52" screen will only magnify a poor signal.

The only blur I notice is news tickers on the bottom of the screen. I emphasis news tickers, because oddly enough FOX HD SPORTS tickers did not blur!?! It would not surprise me if Samsung, being a huge sponsor of the NFL, has worked with the broadcasters to slow down the text to a point that does not affect LCD screens.

Easy setup but somewhat baffled by some of the fine tuning options and what they really do. Only problems I have are that the set does lose resolution quickly when viewing more than a bit off center and also a bit of motion blur for fast moving video, like some sports events (maybe should have paid a few more buck and gotten the 120Hz model).

When it wouldn't power on, the driver told me "You Have to Plug these TVs directly into the wall, not in the surge protector/power strip!". Ha. I told him he was wrong and to check the power cable.

The driver delivered it 5 days after I ordered, unboxed it, stripped off the protective plastics, plugged it in and had me plug in my cable source, made sure it activated and that there were no obvious defects. He also spent another 5 minutes or so going over some of the features of the TV and how to clean it with the cloth that was supplied. He also offered to remove all the packing material, but I kept it just to be safe.
