This is a terrible product if you purchase it to view viedoes. The media converter that is sold with it is not up to date and a new one must be downloaded. After three calls to customer service, they still have no answer as to where a movie or TV show which is compatible with their product can be purchased.

It's not the song itself, because that same song later will play fine. And shuffle does continue on with the next song, so it's not a horrible experience. There are just some bugs in this player, so if you can deal with those then this will be a good player for you.

In the past few weeks I stopped being able to sync new songs to the player. I was able to empty it, as several of the tracks were being skipped for some reason. But I was not able to write on it again, and it now freezes every time I try to connect the machine.

Well, I purchased this product at the end of February this year (2007) and it functioned - with various frustrations - until the end of November of this year. My first frustration with this product was that it came with the Rhapsody player, in which I had no interest, and which I could not remove from the player even after my "trial period" ended. Much of the advice I found online for taking Rhapsody off (largely based on earlier models) did not work for this player.

I had to ask them again for the installation CD, and this time, they didn't respond to me at all and closed the ticket. I thought about returning this player, but on a second thought, making my own CD by coping the downloaded Media Converter might save me lot of hassle of dealing with it. So I ended up making my own CD and began to play with this MP3 player.

Additionally, when I connected the player to my computer, it did not show up as another drive, but as another item which I could not format or manipulate as easily. I found the battery life to be rather acceptable, the sound quality was decent, although the FM tuner was quite weak. The design of the actual unit is quite durable, however, the screen is prone to scratches.

It should not crack if you have the unit in your pocket unless you hit it with a hammer or something. I will wait until the Zune 8 GB go on sale on amazon. Right now it runs about $180.00, but in Feb, March it will be around the low $100's.

Finally, I found it more difficult then necessary to load things on it from my computer. For example, I wanted to put a picture of my family on there to be able to show people, but I had to mess around with several program to get a picture that visible. Nevertheless I am not sorry that I got it.

They said the earphones were an accessory and not covered under warranty. But if they could find some they would send them. That was 7 weeks ago and no response despite another call getting the same response.

However, after two days usage the Back Button stuck in, finally got it to come most of the way out and restored functionality. Working Ok now, but for how long? Definitely a poorly designed switch.

The user has many options to supplement this MP3 player with accessories. Although the product line is not that of the iPod line, every accessory anyone would want is available. You will not be able to find the pastel or neon colors that many of the accessories for iPod feature, but rather, all of the accessories complement the sleek, contemporary design of the Sansa; most are either black or silver and some even have blue LEDs to match those found on the wheel of the player itself!

- The v2 is somewhat of a hybrid of earlier e200/e200r(rhapsody) models, in that it fully features the seamless rhapsody DNA that allows it to carry rhapsody channels (a service available with subscription that allows you to download random music of certain genres on your player for as long as your subscription continues) and allows for faster transfer of music via rhapsody. - the v2 has different hardware including but not limited to a new chip (a3525 instead of the previous PP5024, a portal player chip from the same company that has provided chips to companies such as I-pod and motorola) The new chip actually features faster processing potential.

Many of my friends who have purchased and ipod complain about the touch-sensitive wheel and after a while certain buttons and functions cease to work from continued use. The construction of SanDisk Sansa far exceeds that of the ipod in that nothing is touch-sensitive and every function has its own button or wheel.

I did a lot of research into them and found that there were not many contenders that shine above all the rest. The two choices that I was left with ultimately were the Apple ipod and SanDisk Sansa. I purchased this item about 3 months ago and I must say that I could not be happier.

i got a refurb for less than half retail and the only difference is that engraved on the back it says "refurb." the quality, battery life, ease of scanning through the menu, and the drag and drop makes the sansa more appealing than ipods. the video quality is as good as you can expect from a screen that size. light weight, but i'd get one of the clear, adhesive screen covers and silicone cases to protect it

If breathe on the screen the wrong way it will crack, even if you the protective covering. It takes too long to upload to your PC. It worked fairly decent.

All in all I give this unit 5 stars. Pros: Well built, bright screen, FM radio, voice recorder and photo viewer. Cons: Price appears to be going up, however if you search around the web you can find this for around $125.00

The GoGear is dead to me. Of course battery life is never close to what is advertised for any MP3 player, but this one actually will give you 12 to 15 hours of playtime even if you fiddle with it a lot and have the backlight on bright. I suppose if you set it to play a 20-hour playlist and never turned on the backlight you might get the the full 20 hours they advertise.

It syncs easily with Windows Media Player, and videos & photos just drag & drop into their automatic converter. The files are organized into the same type of menus you use in Media Player, so you don't have to have an IT degree to work this one!

The most disappointing part is the video. First of all, you can not just copy a video file onto it. It simply doesn't play and reminds you to transfer the video with the Media Converter.

However, since its release continuous and rapid improvement of these same features have not ceased. The firmware has continued to be updated, each update improving on primary issues such as earlier complaints of background noise (now nonexistent with current firmware and hardware versions), boot-time, compatability, etc. On this last point, of particular need of mentioning, is the existence of an unofficial producer of a public sector firmware (The programming that is responsible for the user interface, amongst other things, think windows for the computer) known as "Rockbox," and the release of E200 V2's which boasts new hardware and new potential.
