Now we get most of the stations we watch regularly in 1080i HD and the picture is great. The blacks are nice and dark, the colors are great, the image is full screen with no need to alter the format manually and the sound is terrific (the room is small so we never set the sound very high). Since we don't watch a lot of DVDs, the built-in DVD is great since it eliminates additional equipment and cables.

For one, if you want to watch digital or hd cable or satellite, you still need a decoder box, so there goes the clean setup of just putting the TV on the wall and being done with it. And if you want high definition DVDs (bluray) then you would need an external player anyway, but of course none of this is Toshiba's fault. The main problem with this TV is the PC input.
