How it sucks

In fact it only hinders the gameplay with a poorly implemented trigger that doesn't feel as tight as actually pressing the B button on the wii remote yourself. I am astounded that Nintendo has the guts to release this for twenty dollars on the unsuspecting public. Its hardly worth what they sell it for and you'll end up with a useless hunk of junk cluttering your home and years later you'll wonder why you even wasted your time and money.

As for the game; Link's Crossbow Training will hold your interest for about five minutes you might as well just purchase Ghost Squard for thirty bucks and get a full game for the near 20 you'll spend for what barely amounts to a game and a useless hunk of junk.

Buy it first, and if you don't like it then return it to your local retail store with a full refund.

the zapper will make shooting games fun but the zelda game that came with it is kinda repetative and short. more of a training game but for $20 it is still worth the money im hoping they release time crises and or point blank that would be AMAZING i would give more stars as more games come out for it try resident evil: umbarella corp.

One flaw that we noticed is that if you move your cursor too far to one side, it will come back on the other side of the screen. For instance, if your cursor is near the right side of the screen and you move further right, even though your zapper is still pointed to the right, your cursor will reappear on the left side. You have to do the reverse process to get it back in line.

This game is a waste of time. It's overly difficult given the clumsiness of the gun, and it seems as though it was thrown together in a single day. It doesn't even come in a DVD case...just a cheap paper sleeve like Wii Sports.

the only problem is that as of right now, there are only 3 other games compatible with the zapper, and i was horribly disappointed with the use of the zapper with resident evil: umbrella chronicles. of course, after playing resident evil 4 and the Link's Crossbow training, umbrella chronicles is a sad disappointment either way.

At first glance the Zapper looks... somewhat lame. Okay sorry, I lied it DOES LOOK lame but that doesn't mean anything when you finally start using it.

We did however notice that when reloading your gun in Medal of Honor (by quickly jerking your gun upward) there were a few times when the wii-mote came loose from it's housing. This is frustrating because if the wii-mote slips out, the zapper mechanism won't hit the trigger (b-button) on the wii-mote. This is extremely frustrating in a battle situation if you're reloading with someone coming at you.

The trigger button that hits the b button on the Wiimote doesnt have a spring loaded recoil, so pushing the button in is rather "mushy." Additionally the zapper is rather small for an adult to use. The crossbow training games are okay but not stellar. It would be better if Nintendo made a gun peripheral that could be used "point and shoot", but with the Wiimotes method of targetting that isn't possible now.

This product is terrible. It is poorly designed and a pain to use.

If it were not for the included game, I do not know if I would still feel the same about this product. I liked it. I like the two handed grip as it allows for better aim but that is a personal issue.

it's pretty good deal when I first bought it. I thought "I am not paying 25 bucks!) then I bought it from another buyer :THE DUDE RIPPED ME OFF JUST THE GAME NOT THE ZAPPER!

The reason why I did not give it a 5 star is the multiplayer feature. Nintendo should have provided a mini game where multiple users could play on at the same time.
12 months ago @ Amazon
The top (face) buttons on the Wii remote are impossible to use while the Zapper is in normal use. You will have to hold it in an awkward manner to operate them. The transposed "B" button (the trigger) seems cheesy.

I hope that when Duck Hunt comes out for Virtual Console it'll also be compatible. I really don't have any complaints except that its so fun that I hope they make multiplayer games for it where you can have two or even more players play with it at the same time, not just one at a time!

This is another example of a company trying to cash in on the Wii's popularity with another sub-par product. Avoid this like the plague. It has no redeeming qualities.

There are different Wii guns out on the market also, but for $20 for the Wii Zapper and it comes with a game, you cannot beat that. I would recommend this to anyone with a Wii, even for kids because there is no blood or gore in it.

It's not an advantage in the basic Wii games I've tried it with, but I'm sure it would be in the fantasy/exploration games.

Because of this nature, your aim will be slowed down when compared to holding the Wii remote by itself. In addition the trigger takes a bit more time to register than pressing the 'B' button by itself on the remote. Now the reason why this is any good is for 2 reasons:

How it doesn't

My mom wanted a shooting game and when I saw this, I convinced her to buy it. Link's Crossbow is an awesome game and the wiizapper is easy to use. My family loves this game and love to compete to see who can get the high score.

It really helps your accuracy and feels great. The gem in this package though is Link's Crossbow Training. This game is probably the best game I have on the Wii right now, with the exception of Super Mario Galaxy.

Grip it, play once and you'll instantly be addicted. Link's Crossbow Training, which is included, is a very solid and fun game. I'd say that the game alone is worth the price.

In fact, as the wii expands, you'll probably see a lot of sweet designs. The zapper is constructed as it is in order to give you a low cost to having this ability now. Function in games

I am a young working professional lives in NYC, Whenever I have small parties, this game always creat nice competition and fun. I have friends begging me to come over and shoot away. Very fun.

It is one great tool , especially when you play shooting games. The Link's Crossbow training is one great trainging game for beginners to experts. It has different levels and you can set targets by earning medals at different levels to unlock new levels.

This is game is really creative and the replay value is awesome! If you like the aim-and-shoot games, this is it for you! The replay value is good because while there are so many levels, you will always strive to get the best score and beat yourself over and over again.

At 19.99, it's GREAT! I'm considering getting one as a gift. The shooting games vary from simple to HARD, which fits everybody who plays at my house.

I'm looking forward to more Zapper titles, but am perfectly happy with this title as it stands! Also, the zapper itself feels of solid construction, and I like the tommy gun style grip. Great fun for all skill levels.

It works great with RE UC as well. I'm sure anyone who like first person shooters will like this game and the Wii Zapper.
13 months ago @ Amazon
some, you are placed like a first person shooter, while others you move around. the best part of this game is that you can choose whichever round you wish to replay, which is really fun with many people.

I bought it for my husband for Christmas and he loves it, our 7 year old son is having great fun with it too.

Zapper is very sturdy, very well designed, and very easy to setup... The "Link's Crossbow Training" game is surprisingly good.

Product is awesome. Zappers are great!

The levels are different enough to keep you interested. There are lots of targeting games in many different varieties, games where you control link and hunt through an area, a couple of boss fights, and some really fun stuff where you kill hordes and hordes of bad guys. It's a great game at $50, it's stellar at $20.

Fast moving and very entertaining. The zapper is easy to put together, and very intuitive. Highly recommended!

The remote and nunchuck fit into the Zapper cleanly. Link's Crossbow training is included, and while fun, it isn't much of a challenge to beat. It took me all of a day to master and toss aside.

Snapping in the Wiimote & nunchuk is sufficiently tedious that I would want to buy a dedicated Wiimote and nunchuk if I were planning to make heavy use of the zapper. (The cover that snaps on to the bottom of the nunchuk looks good for about ten in/out cycles before it gives up the ghost.) Size is a bit small for my medium-sized adult male hands but just right for my six-year old.

This simple device/holder converts the otherwise slighty conventional Wii controllers to a real "shooter". The game, Crossbow, is brilliant and makes for tons of shooting fun. An excellent innovations for Wii.

I really thought this was going to be a pared down game designed simply as a teaser for future games using the zapper - I was wrong! This game is nice as a stand-alone.
