This is the worst game system out to date you must beware. There is a 33% fail rate "but i feel its allot more then that because i had to send mine back 8 times because it just died on me" and if u want games with good graphics then yea this system is good but still not the best "PS3 has the best" and if you want to watch an HD movie you can do BUT you would have to spend an extra 200 bucks for the HD-DVD drive to watch em.

SURE you can....time to spend 120 bucks for it because its not built in.... Wanna play TRUE HD gaming and play on 1080p.....guess what you cant even though they do have a HDMI port in the system its only ver 1.2 you need 1.3 to get TRUE 1080p.....yea i know microsoft lied to you and i did like the system at first when i got mine but after i did some research i learned that its not good at all and sending my system back 8 times was starting to get very very old so do yourself a favor and do not buy this system and if you do buy it you will see what i mean when your systems dies and you have to send it in 6-100 times

he opened it on the 25th and it stopped working on the 27th! we had an hour or longer phone conversation with customer service for the xbox (not amazon) and they were uncooperative, unsympathetic, and would not let us talk to a manager. they said they would not replace it, but send out a new cord.

Ordered console on 12/15/07 - 1st order lost - replacement console reordered without consent - 2nd console arrived 01/03/08 and refused - I purchased one locally due to lack of consumer confidence and need to have available during the Christmas school vacation......which Amazon could not support. Only thing timely about this transaction was the refund. Enough said.

I could be wrong, however, and it is the old chip. Lately, my disc drive seems to be vibrating, and that is very annoying, so be aware of that. It's froze up on me twice since I've had it, but both games are quite scratched, so that could explain it.

Point is, even arcades manufactured in November 07 still had old parts in them. Just because they were manufactured after September does not mean they have the newest stuff in them, rather they were built then with stuff that has been sitting around for a while. Just be careful when buying the arcade cause I could not find one in stores with new hardware.

Luckily, Microsoft has extended the Red Rings of Death warranty to 3 years. If you send it in to them, they'll either repair it or send you a new one.

"It doesn't have a headset" *Well, the headset is not included in this Xbox 360 arcade version. Note: the Microsoft headset are poorly design it will break less than a year.

I was initially worried that the Arcade bundle I ordered would not contain the Falcon chipset, but I am relieved to see that it does. I'm not sure if all Arcade bundles have Falcon chipsets in them, but the one I bought on 12/10/07 from Amazon was manufactured on 10/3/07 with a lot # of 740. It looks like Amazon is moving the systems fast enough that they have systems that have been recently manufactured.

The reason I gave the system 1 star is not because it is bad but rather to try and catch your attention.

i hardly think the power cord is faulty because the hard drive was making weird noises not the cord. i rate the product zero, i rate customer service zero.

They're both new version of Xbox 360 with 3 years warranty from Microsoft. They are not likely to cause more problem. Overall it's up to you to make a choice which version to buy.

The only problem was that I had to do a little leg work to get the great deal, and make it the same as the "Pro" bundle. This comes with the RCA output, which is boring.

But only after 3 months the Fan broke and had to buy another Fan which cost $30 each!! Then his screen started to blink on/off, nothing wrong with the TV it was the 360 AV cable.

My co-worker also bought a falcon and his locks up often. For general system design and games I would rate the 360 5 stars. But for rushing to market with a product this poorly built that people pay good money for and for charging for online services that the competition offers free, I rate a 0!

This being all said I'm not dismissing the ps3 altogether and I'll just get this either next year or sooner so what I'm saying to you is both systems are most likely equal but go for the one you feel is most affordable to you at the time and not by nay-sayers who are trying to discredit either one.

I had the three red lights issue with my original, and got it replaced, but the DVD drive I had was not up to snuff, and man it was loud. My VGA video would cut-out when the unit got hot. I got an Intercooler attachment which prolonged the outages, but man it made the unit even louder.

Interesting fact: The power supply from the Arcade and my old system are not interchangable, likely to the different wattage for the inner improvements. I also like the looks of the white DVD tray, as opposed to the cheesy shiny one on my old system.

360s manufactured in 2006 and the first half of 2007 were not optimally designed, resulting in the graphics chip on the motherboard overheating and causing the 3 Red Lights error that many 360 owners have encountered (I'm on my 4th console myself).

I have the Wii and really enjoy it, but most of the games really don't cut it, when compared to 360 games. As for reliability, the Xbox 360 really is bad in that area. I wouldn't expect to keep your first Xbox 360 until the next Microsoft console comes out, if one ever does.

I never bothered going wireless before because I couldn't justify the added expense for a convenience, but now that I have one, I will never go back. My only complaint is that this package does not come with a hard drive, and what they don't tell you is that you will need at least a 20 GB drive to play any of your old games.

It has HDMI, and other improvements that have made my gaming experience much more pleasurable. I was able to keep my 20gb hard drive and use it on the arcade from my old system. I traded in my old system w/o the hard drive at a well-known reseller for around $130.

I use optical, because my reciever doesnt do 1080p pass through. I was just going to use the old Componenet Head Cord for audio, then hdmi for video; but to my surprise, you cant use them both at the same time because the heading is too big and covers the hdmi port. The solution was to buy a seperate peice (xbox 360 hdmi a/v cable, except i didnt use the extra hdmi cable) because it has a smaller head, and can fit both the VGA and hdmi cords at the same time.

They may have reconfigured the cooling system or installed a more durable clamp. This arcade version is good for starter/casual gamer or replace your old one(because your old Xbox 360 broken or want the hdmi output). There are many complains and questions about this version, So I'm willing to tell the truth and how to solve your problem of the Xbox 360 arcade version.

Most of the other new systems are geared towards the 'all-in-one' features (hence the price difference), but that's not what WE needed.

An extra Two year extended warrenty can be purchased for $59.90 but I'm not going to bother.

In order to play the old X-Box games, you have to connect your X-Box 360 to the internet, or wait for a update disc from Microsoft. Thisis just a minor hassle, however.

Just advice employees to be more careful with the hardware you sell. My arcade has a mfr: 2007-10-17 Team: CSON LOT 741 and 203w psu.
